Inspired in the japanese furoshiki art, SAKI is a brand that creates pieces designed and produced in Portugal. From fabric manufactured in the north of the country, to handmade accessories crafted by Portuguese artisans, SAKI offers you beautifully designed furoshiki solutions for every occasion.

Our Founder

Passionate about art since she was a child, Inês is a creative spirit seduced by colour, shapes and textures. She wished to study art, but life took her to walk paths that she didn't feel were for her.

In 2013 she started to practice Karate Shotokan, a martial art that changed her life for ever. With this new way of life, Inês was able to connect with her real self and gain confidence to find the path that was meant for her.

One day she received a furoshiki piece, as a souvenir and she was amazed by it! How could a piece of fabric become a bag, a wrap, a pareo or even a towel?! Inês was inspired to ask questions like: "How did I not know this?", "How are these pieces made?", "Can I create designs for these pieces?", "Is this even produced in Portugal?”.

It was her creative spirit together with her close contact with the Japanese culture that motivated the creation of SAKI.
